Juventus Hungry For More Points

Having drawn 2-2 against Genoa on Thursday, Juve will be hoping for more points to add to their Serie A total thus far and stay in touch with Inter.

Ciro Ferrara's men underlined their intent for the campaign further
against a tricky Grifoni side, having come back from behind to steal a point. With four games in ten days for the home side, Bologna will offer them a chance to take a bit of a breather; but don't expect too much pressure to be taken off the gas, though, as they cannot afford to lose ground on their Scudetto rivals.

Diego is likely to make his return to action, following the injury he sustained against Lazio back in week three. The Brazilian's magic will be needed to unlock a Rossoblu defence that has conceded less goals than Roma and Milan. The visitors have only shipped four goals in total, good going for a side that were favourites to go down at the start of the season.

The Bianconeri will be confident heading into the game. They boast a good record at home to Bologna. Last season's fixture ended with a 4-1 win for the Old Lady. Massimo Mutarelli gave his side the lead before a major fightback followed from the home side. Hasan Salihamidzic, Sebastian Giovinco and a double from Alessandro Del Piero sealed the win. Those three still ply their trade in Turin, but they are unlikely to feature in this tie. With Champions League duties looming, the Bianconeri will want to get this one out of the way quickly.

Bologna Back To Winning Ways

Giuseppe Papadopulo's men recorded their first win at their fifth attempt in midweek when they beat relegation struggler's Livorno 2-0. Marco Di Vaio and Daniele Portanova grabbed their first goals of the season to lift the Emiliani away from the drop zone. Having drawn two and lost twice on the bounce before their win against the Amaranto, Bologna will be hoping to make it two wins from as many games against Juventus.

The Rossoblu travel to the Olimpico to meet an inform Juve side who will have their minds on next week's clash in the Champions League against Bayern Munich. With that in mind, Papdopulo will be hoping to take full advantage and keep the confident mood around the Emilia-Romagna-based town going with diplomacy rather than force.

However, their record away from home this term is less than perfect. Two games have ended in a defeat, against Milan in week four and a goalless draw with Bari in round two. Furthermore, Bologna have not beat Juventus in the league in Turin for almost 30 years. Their last win in Piedmont was on October 5 1980. The Emiliani won 1-0. And they did get a draw here in 2002. Giuseppe Signori's penalty was cancelled out by Mark Iuliano with four minutes to go.

Papadopulo is likely to settle a point from this one, but with the Bianconeri focussed on Wednesday, the away side will fancy their chances.

Bari are set to clash with Milan on Sunday evening at San Siro, hoping to emulate the result of their most recent visit to the 'Scala del Calcio', when they held Inter to a 1-1 draw on the first matchday of Serie A.

Bari midfielder Massimo Donati, who for a long time was owned by the Rossoneri, talked about his experience at the club and the match itself.

"The experience with Milan in 2001 taught me a lot," he said to Goal.com Italia. "When I arrived in Milan I was too young and then our roads separated, without meeting again. It went like this, but now I think of the present.

"I feel good here, I have bonded with my team-mates and I feel comfortable with the playing system. Now I know what coach [Giampiero] Ventura wants and it's clear that sometimes everything works on the pitch, like against Atalanta, and sometimes it doesn't go so well, like against Cagliari."

On the match against the Rossoneri, "We'll go to Milan for the victory, they are strong but we've already shown we can do well against anyone. I wasn't there against Inter, but I saw my team-mates play without fear and I'm sure it will be the same on Sunday. They will be angry, but we'll be just as determined: we have important points to play for."
