West Ham
vs
Liverpool

Date: September 19th
Time: 16:30 (GMT)
Liverpool travel to West Ham on Saturday evening aiming to keep pace with the leading pack.

The Reds have won their last two Premier League games to steady the ship after losing two of their first three encounters.

West Ham have not won since the opening day of the season and they will be keen to secure their first home success of the campaign.

Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola is still missing left-back Herita Ilunga with a cheekbone injury meaning James Tomkins will continue in defence.

Midfielder Luis Boa Morte remains sidelined with a knee problem, but Valon Behrami is pushing for a recall after making his return from a long-term injury as a substitute in last weekend's defeat to Wigan.

Alessandro Diamanti is pushing for a place in the starting line-up after impressing off the bench against Wigan and he could partner Carlton Cole in attack.

New signing Guillermo Franco is unlikely to feature having only signed for the club on Thursday.

Javier Mascherano is set to return to the Liverpool starting XI against his former club after recovering from a back problem.

The Argentine made a late cameo against Debrecen in midweek and he is set to return in midfield alongside Lucas Leiva allowing Steven Gerrard to resume his partnership with Fernando Torres in attack.

Italian midfielder Alberto Aquilani is still missing as he recovers from an ankle problem, while the game has come too soon for Daniel Agger who is expected to return to action next week.

Fabio Aurelio is set to content himself with a place on the bench as he continues to find his fitness after a knee problem.

Glen Johnson and Yossi Benayoun are both likely to start against their former employers.

Bolton Wanderes
vs
Stoke City

Date: September 19th
Time: 14:00 (GMT)
Only one place and four points separated Bolton Wanderers and Stoke City in last season’s final Premier League table, as Saturday’s hosts finished 13th, once place lower than Tony Puils’ highly impressive debutants.

Both sides would be happy to match those finishes this time around with the scrap to avoid relegation to the Championship looking it will be as competitive as ever.

Gary Megson’s Bolton made a slow start to this campaign, losing their first three games, but did defeat Portsmouth 3-2 at Fratton Park last week in what was an unexpected thriller.

Stoke, on the other hand, have been more impressive. Although they lost 2-1 to Chelsea last week due to a stoppage time Florent Malouda goal, they have still accumulated seven points so far and sit inside the top ten.

Something will need to give on Saturday, with Bolton yet to pick up a point at home this season and the Potters yet to win on the road – last season their survival was based almost solely on their excellent record at the Britannia Stadium.

Football: Watch Aston Villa vs Portsmouth - English Premier League Match Live Stream on September 19th

Aston Villa
vs
Portsmouth

Date: September 19th
Time: 14:00 (GMT)
Aston Villa will be looking to heap more misery on hapless Portsmouth at Villa Park on Saturday and continue their recent good run of form.

Martin O'Neill's men have put their opening day defeat at home to Wigan firmly behind them and, despite failing to qualify for the group stages of the Europa League, have won three consecutive Premier League games.

Portsmouth on the other hand are in danger of being cast adrift at the foot of the table having lost all five of their league games to date.

Manager Paul Hart remains calm but even the most optimistic of Pompey supporters may be questioning whether their side can really turn the tide at Villa Park.

However the South Coast club will be buoyed by the fact that Villa invariably struggle at home. The Villans only won seven of their 19 home games last season, drawing 10 and losing twice.

Having already lost 2-0 to Wigan at Villa Park this term O'Neill will be looking to build on the 1-0 success over Fulham on home soil and raise his side's confidence in front of their own supporters.

Hart has been busy in the transfer market in recent weeks having lost a number of his star players over the summer and he will be hoping they can gel just enough to get a result.

Villa have no new injuries to contend with but O'Neill must wrestle with the idea of whether to stick with Gabriel Agbonlahor as a lone striker or bring in either John Carew or Emile Heskey to help lead the line.

The Villans looked bereft of ideas in the derby against Birmingham last week until Carew came on deep into the second half and subsequently nodded the ball down for Agbonlahor to head a late winner, and he appears to be at the front of the queue should his manager wish to change his system.

New signings Richard Dunne, James Collins and Stephen Warnock all made impressive debuts against the Blues last week and all should make their home bows against Pompey.

Defenders Curtis Davies (shoulder), Wilfred Bouma (ankle) and winger Stewart Downing (foot) all remain sidelined while Luke Young is still struggling with a thigh problem.

Portsmouth have no new injuries to concern manager Hart ahead of the trip to the Midlands.

Defender Steve Finnan returned to training this week following hamstring trouble but is still not deemed fit enough to make his first appearance for the club.

Fellow defender Herman Hreidarsson is also nearing a comeback after a foot problem but the Villa game has come too soon for the Icelander.

Other absentees include midfielder Papa Bouba Diop (hamstring) and new striker Aruna Dindane who is undergoing a two-week fitness programme to help try and cure a knee injury.
